Deed 1. 1/6/11 At the Roadrunner Food Bank
I worked as a "shopper" where I walked around and packed boxes full of 35lbs worth of food. While packing the boxes you are supposed to imagine that it is for a family of 4 because they said that that's who usually gets these boxes. I had a good time I would make sure to grab essentials like rice, beans, pasta, sugar, flower, and stuff and also throw in fun stuff like hamburger helper and cookies and candy. I was amazed at what food they were giving away! It was Whole foods, Traderjoes food! Crazy! And there was so much of it! I had a good time and I made a new friend because there was pretty much just me and a girl doing it while I was there. I plan to go again next friday. Here is a picture of a pallet that me and my new friend Rebecca did!
